You can cancel your policy anytime. However, if you have assets still being paid off, the banks typically require them to be insured.

If you are involved in an accident that is caused by someone else, you can file a third-party claim with the other driver's insurer for the damages to your vehicle. The first party is you (the person insured), the second party is the Insurer and the third party is the other person who has caused the accident. If you have caused the accident, the third party is the other person claiming from you. A third-party claim is not limited to vehicle damage to your vehicle or a third-party vehicle, it can also be damage to property as a result of an accident.

Insurance add-ons are optional extras that you can include in your standard insurance policy to enhance coverage.
